Former Love Island star, Dom Thomas, got a shot of instant luck when he landed in Vegas for a vacation.
Thomas made a $10 bet at the VIP room at Harry Reid International Airport, scoring a win of $495 from his first spin on a fruit machine pokie. Emboldened, he decided to try his luck with a second machine, where his good fortune endured, and he snagged a win of $780.36.
Thomas was blown away and recalled thinking, “I’m never f**king leaving”, as he had a spin on a third machine.
Sometime later, the construction manager let his 203 000 Instagram followers in on his great run, saying, “Okay, I’ve played thee machines. I started with $10, and I’m $3k up.”
Afterglow
Thomas enjoyed the rest of his night on the Vegas strip and checked into the luxurious Bellagio resort, which might have cost him his winnings as the rooms cost up to $2 800 a night.
Thomas’ social media fame is a result of his time as a contestant on season one of the hit reality TV show Love Island Australia.
He was famously coupled up with Shelby ‘Bilby’ Mills and later dated co-star Tayla Damir after the show.
Down Under on the Rise
Thomas isn’t the only Australian making waves in Vegas. The son of the late great cricketer Shane Warne won big on the first day of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) tournament. Jackson Warne claimed $130,000.
Warne shared heartfelt thoughts with his Instagram followers after landing the big win. He posted a picture of his father with a caption that explained that Shane was meant to have accompanied him on his first trip to play in the WSOP. Shane Warne passed away in March 2022 from a heart attack while holidaying in Thailand.
