The popular gaming supplier of Australia named Aristocrat Leisure Ltd’s revenue as well as net profit increased remarkably in the half of the fiscal year ended as on 31st March. This growth was principally attributed by the acquirement of famous gaming development company of North America called Video Gaming Technologies or VGT.

It has been pointed out by the officials of Aristocrat that this result has surpassed their last year’s result, which was posted for the same part of the year. They also added that their revenue has increased to Australian dollar 685 million, which is 73.5% compared to the revenue of 2014.
The company has earned Australian dollar of 130.1 million from their operations of Australia and New Zealand while their 2014’s revenue from these two regions was Australian dollar 91 million. Their American operations have contributed whopping revenue of 437.2 million Australian dollars that is 96.3% of the total revenue year-on-year. Aristocrat’s International Class III business has produced an amount of 60 million Australian dollars while their 2014’s revenue from this segment was 62.6 million Australian dollars. Their revenue from the segment of digital operations has increased by 213.6% to become 57.7 million Australian dollars.
Aristocrat’s revenue in the segment of EBITDA has also increased by 121.3%. Their revenue for the first half of 2014 was 110 Australian dollars and this year it has become 243.4 million Australian dollars.
Their NPATA or net profit after taxation and prior to charging the amortization on their intangible assets has gone up by 66.8% to become 110.1 million Australian dollars. Their NPATA for the same period of 2014 was 66 million Australian dollars. Aristocrat’s statutory profit after charging the tax has also increased by 35.2% to reach the total of 77.6 million Australian dollars.
As already discussed, the main reason behind their extraordinary financial result was due to the successful acquisition of VGT. Other factors which have also helped in this successful financial result for the first half of the fiscal year ended as on 31st March 2015 are investments in some specific games and other related gaming products, awesome sales figure in Macau, opening of new casino centers in administrative region, etc.
CEO and MD of Aristocrat, Mr Jamie Odell said that their financial result for the first half of the fiscal year 2015 showed signs of transformation. Mr Odell looked contented while saying that they have been able to maintain their focus on driving profitability as well as scale. He also added that their success in the important segments of the business operations was due to their ability of disposing of some specific non-core operations and also due to their strategy of “product led” and “share taking” approach.
