The world-famous Microgaming Mega Moolah jackpot recently awarded yet another huge progressive prize. The lucky winner was playing the pokie at the Enlabs-owned Optibet online casino on 6 August 2021and landed a huge $7,231,507.69 win. Another recent huge winner took home a $6.5 million prize payout in June from the same pokie at the same casino.
As with all Microgaming progressive jackpot prizes, this latest win will be paid out as a lump sum. This is the 101st Mega jackpot prize paid out by the progressive network since its inception, but comes in at less than half of the record $19.4 million prize paid out in April 2021.
Over its history, the Mega Moolah progressive jackpot network has awarded more than $1.45 billion in prizes. Of this amount, $137 million was paid out in 2021 alone.
John Coleman, the CEO at Microgaming commented on the latest win, saying,
“Huge congratulations to the winning player – we’re used to seeing massive jackpots drop on Mega Moolah, and $7.2 million is a fantastic amount to win. Well done to Optibet for claiming a second consecutive Mega jackpot on our network.”
Chris Davis, the CPO at Enlabs also had his say, commenting,
“We were delighted when Mega Moolah dropped at Optibet the first time, but for it to happen a second time a matter of weeks later is remarkable. I am certain that both existing and new Optibet customers will appreciate that this situation can only be attributed to the luck of the brand.”
